Manny is the founder and architect of the B.A.S.E.C. Training system. As a former collegiate and professional athlete, he has a  great understanding of what it takes to compete at a high level in sports.

Now his passion is to develop the athletic potential of athletes of all ages and skill levels, from juniors all the way to the professional level.

​

Manny is one of the first Racquetfit certified fitness professionals in the tennis industry. To further his education and understanding of the game and the tennis body connection, he spent a year in Florida studying under and training with Pat Etcheberry.

​

Etcheberry is one of the world’s foremost experts in the field of sports fitness and movement. He has been the Head of Strength and Conditioning at the University of Kentucky, the Director of Athletic Development at IMG (Boliterri) Academy, Head of Athletic Development at Saddlebrook, and he has trained professional athletes in a wide variety of sports. Etcheberry’s clients have won more than 100 Grand Slam tournaments –including Pete Sampras, Justine Henin, Jim Courier, Monica Seles, Jennifer Capriati, Martina Hingis, Jelena Jankovic, and many others. Pat is a former Olympian in the 1964 Tokyo Games. He has also survived two bouts with cancer and is one of the best coaches for mental toughness in the world.
